Hoboken Crash Victim Identified: Fabiola Bittar de Kroon

The sole fatality of Thursday morning’s train crash in Hoboken, New Jersey, was identified as 34-year-old mother Fabiola Bittar de Kroon. According to ABC 7 New York, de Kroon had recently moved from Brazil to New Jersey for her husband’s career and was killed while standing on the platform when debris fell from above after a commuter train smashed into the terminal. De Kroon had just dropped off her toddler daughter at a daycare facility before rushing off to catch a train to her job. “You just saw a smile on her face every time she came to pick up her daughter,” daycare director Maria Sharp said, “and that’s what I keep seeing.”
