Philip Seymour Hoffman was serious about keeping his three young children unspoiled. According to his children’s lawyer, the actor decided to not set aside money for them because he didn’t want them to be “trust fund” kids. According to court filings, his accountant had suggested putting them in his will, but instead he left his estimated $35 million estate to his longtime partner and the kids’ mother, Mimi O’Donnell. Hoffman said he believed she would “take care of the children.”
