It was an “acute mix of drug intoxication including heroin, cocaine, benzodiazepines, and amphetamine” that killed Philip Seymour Hoffman, the New York City medical examiner said Friday. The 46-year-old actor’s death was also ruled an accident. Hoffman was discovered dead in New York City this month with a syringe in his arm and heroin packets in his apartment, after he'd reportedly checked into rehab last year. This week, a will was filed on behalf of the actor, leaving the majority of his estate to his long-term partner, Marianne O’Donnell, and their three children, Cooper, Tallulah, and Willa.
