The LAPD has identified the man whose severed head, hands, and feet were found on different parts of a hiking trail near the Hollywood sign on Tuesday. Authorities say the victim is Hervey Medellin, 66, a former Mexicana Airlines employee who retired some time ago and used to hike in Griffith Park, according to his friends. Medelin lived with another person in an apartment not far from the hiking trail where his body parts were discovered. His neighbor in an apartment complex told the Los Angeles Times he heard screaming, shouting, and other commotion coming from the floor above him, where Medellin lived, one night roughly three weeks ago. Cops were questioning other neighbors in the region, including Brad Pitt's bodyguard. Pitt and his wife, Angelina Jolie, have a house near the hiking trail.
