Home Depot says hackers stole 53 million email addresses in addition to the payment-card thefts previously disclosed. The company said the hackers accessed its network from a third-party vendor. Last September the retailer reported that 56 million debit and credit cards were affected by a months-long data breach - surpassing the hack of Target in 2013. It said at the time that the malware was deleted and that there was no proof pin numbers were compromised. The company said Thursday that it was warning customers to be on the lookout for phishing scams.
