In another blow for the besieged file-sharing site Megaupload, Hong Kong froze more than $39 million in assets held by the company on Friday. Hong Kong’s action came one day after the U.S. FBI shut down the site and raided its offices. Megaupload is registered in Hong Kong and four of its employees—including Kim Dotcom, the man listed in the indictment as the founder of the site—were arrested in Auckland, New Zealand. On Friday that the hacking group Anonymous crashed the Justice Department website, in an apparent retaliation for raiding Megaupload.
