Hong Kong police have deployed new weapon against protesters: the water cannon. For the first time, authorities on Sunday drove the water cannon vehicles into the streets and then opened the jets against a group of protesters who had set up roadblocks, AFP reported. Some of the demonstrators fled, but others threw bricks and Molotov cocktails in the latest clash since pro-democracy protesters began taking to the streets. It was not clear is anyone was injured by the water cannons.
