House Democrats to Invite Sexual Assault Victims to State of the Union

House Democrats are planning to invite sexual assault victims to President Donald Trump’s State of the Union speech later this month, NBC News reports. Additionally, Rep. Lois Frankel (D-FL) floated the possibility of holding “mock hearings” with Trump’s own accusers, according to NBC, but House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) nixed the idea. The issue of sexual misconduct has gripped the nation recently, and members of Congress have been forced to resign in recent weeks over allegations against them.
