The House Ethics Committee announced on Tuesday that it was opening up an investigative subcommittee to probe sexual harassment allegations against Rep. Patrick Meehan (R-PA) and his former chief of staff Brian Schubert. Meehan announced last month that he would not seek re-election this year. He made the decision after it was reported that he used taxpayer funds to settle a claim brought forth by a former aide.
