And the saga continues. House Republicans canceled a vote on legislation that would reopen the government and raise the debt ceiling on Tuesday night, while the House Rules Committee postponed a hearing for the bill. The decision (or lack thereof) comes after House Republicans showed disapproval for a possible Senate deal and the party's leadership then came up with its own bill. Despite the failure in the House, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell have re-entered talks and are working on a deal. According to a spokesman for both senators, they are "optimistic that an agreement is within reach."
