House Intel Committee: Snowden In Contact with Russian Intelligence Services
The House Intelligence Committee alleges that NSA leaker Edward Snowden is constantly in contact with Russian intelligence services. In newly declassified documents, the panel cites classified U.S. intelligence to back up that claim. In a recent interview, though, Snowden denied those allegations. The revelation from the powerful House panel comes as Snowden’s most ardent supporters are pushing for President Obama to pardon him before he leaves office next month. A U.S. official told Yahoo News that the government does not have evidence that Snowden shared some of the NSA documents that he stole with the Russians.
