House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff has hired officials with National Security Council experience to help the committee in its oversight role, CNN reports. A committee aide told the network it has hired those with “prior experience on the National Security Council staff” to help with oversight, although they said none came “directly from the White House.” This comes after President Trump tweeted that “committee heads” were going “nuts.” “Even stealing people who work at White House! A continuation of Witch Hunt!” the president wrote. In response, Schiff stated that Trump should focus on being a “better employer” if he’s “worried about [the committee’s] hiring any former administration people.”
