What will haunt Mike Huckabee more in a Republican primary, the murderer he pardoned or this: Huckabee dismissed calls from within the Republican Party to change the part of the 14th Amendment that automatically gives citizenship to children born in the United States. "The Supreme Court has decided that, I think, in three different centuries,” Huckabee told NPR. "In every single instance, they have affirmed that if you are born in this country, you are considered to be a citizen. The only option there is to change the Constitution." Asked if he would support an effort to make such a change, he said “No.” Huckabee’s track record on immigration is more liberal than his likely Republican opponents.
