Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez is dead at the age of 58, Vice President Nicolas Maduro confirmed Tuesday. Already in delicate condition after undergoing cancer surgery in December, Chávez took a turn for the worse Monday when he began suffering from “a new, severe infection.”
