Several members of the board of the Humane Society of the United States resigned on Thursday after the animal-welfare group’s leadership body voted to retain Chief Executive Officer Wayne Pacelle, despite multiple allegations of harassment that have been unearthed about the longtime official. At least three separate complaints allege Pacelle harassed a former intern and two former employees. Pacelle has denied all of the accusations.
