Nearly 15,000 pounds of hummus and other dips from Hot Mama’s Foods that are sold at Trader Joe’s, Giant, and Target were recalled Friday due to worries about listeria contamination. The voluntary recall was triggered by contamination found during a test by the Texas Department of Health. Listeria usually affects young children and the elderly, and symptoms can include fever, muscle ache, headache, stiff neck, and confusion. A full list of the recalled items and their sell-by dates can be found here. The recalled dips are under the Target Archer Farms label at Target, the Giant Eagle label at Giant, and includes Trader Joe’s edamame hummus and five-layer dips.
