Hundreds of Google employees are expected to leave work Thursday morning to send a message to company bosses who they believe have been too soft on executives accused of sexual harassment. The protest, organized under the name “Walkout for Real Change,” comes a week after The New York Times reported allegations of sexual misconduct about Android creator Andy Rubin. He allegedly got his hands on a a $90 million severance package in 2014 even though the allegations against him were reportedly found to be credible by the company. Rubin has denied the allegations and the reported size of the payout. Google disclosed last week that it had fired 48 employees , including 13 senior managers, for “sexual harassment” in recent years—but gave no details about severance packages.
