At least six people have been arrested in Albuquerque, New Mexico, following Sunday’s protest against the city’s police department by hundreds of people. A call to action began after video footage surfaced of police shooting and killing a homeless, mentally ill man on March 16. The rally, which began at noon, was disrupted nine hours later when police in gas masks, riot shields, and batons began using tear gas to disperse protesters after they refused to disband.
