At least 12 people are dead after flash floods tore through the Georgian capital of Tbilisi Sunday. Others are missing, and 22,000 residents are left without power. The sense of devastation is compounded by havoc wrought by the city’s escaped zoo animals, which include at least 20 wolves, eight lions, and six tigers. Emergency crews have killed several of the animals, and very publicly tranquilized an escaped hippopotamus in the middle of the street.
