Unprecedented rain levels and 110+ mph winds expected along with “life-threatening” floods.

Hurricane Harvey has reportedly grown stronger as it nears landfall on the Texas coast. The slow-moving storm has forced several counties to order mandatory evacuations as meteorologists predict unprecedented rainfall and winds in excess of 110 miles per hour. According to the Houston Chronicle, the city of Houston is expected to take a substantial hit from the storm and “life-threatening floods” along the coast could last through Monday. “I have spoken w/ @GovAbbott of Texas and @LouisianaGov Edwards,” President Trump tweeted Friday afternoon. “Closely monitoring #HurricaneHarvey developments & here to assist as needed.”
