The U.S. death toll from Hurricane Matthew has reached 20 after 10 people in North Carolina were killed by affects of the monster storm. Gov. Pat McCrory said Monday that five individuals are still missing and 1,500 remain stranded by floodwaters in the city of Lumberton. The Federal Aviation Administration has issued flight restrictions across the region to allow rescue helicopters to survey the area, he added. More than 500,000 people remain without power. Residents in Florida are beginning to clean up from the storm, and evacuees are readying to return to their homes. In Haiti alone, the death toll has topped 1,000 since the Category 4 hurricane barreled through last week.
