Hypnotic Ice Stacking Vid is Pure Magic

Stunning phenomenon captured on Lake Superior.

It’s Friday. You’ve had a long week, even though Monday was a holiday. We get it. You just want to go home, kick off your shoes, and dissolve into a pile of crumb laden sweatshirt and empty beer bottles. Be patient, you’re almost there. In the meantime, check out the above video of ice sheets stacking in one of our Great Lakes. Lose yourself to the undulating display of nature getting wild and weird.

Our Great Lakes are no slouch when it comes to winter spectacle. Whether it’s those crazy ice spheres or fantastical ice caves that look like something out of a Tolkien novel, these vast bodies of water do their best to keep it interesting for onlookers during the harsh winter months. And with those winters getting warmer and warmer, best to enjoy it while you can.
