Oregon State Police have arrested a 55-year-old ICE deportation officer on first-degree charges of sodomy, authorities said Saturday. The man, identified as Blake Northway, had been employed by the agency’s Medford office. Authorities did not provide any details of what led to the charges. Northway has since been relieved of all authorities and will be placed on leave for the duration of an investigation. “U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold its officers to the highest standards of professional conduct and does not tolerate those who violate the law. ICE will continue to cooperate until this case has been resolved,” ICE Public Affairs Officer Tanya Roman said in a statement. Northway faces 10 counts of sodomy and one of incest, according to Jackson County Jail records. Authorities say the charges have nothing to do with his work for ICE. News of his arrest comes after a Border Patrol agent in Texas was arrested on suspicion of killing four women and abducting a fifth.
