The premiere’s 26.1 million viewers are down from 29.9 million last year and from the series’ high of 37.4 million viewers in 2007. The show could figure to lose even more viewers as the season progresses, as many of the premiere’s viewers were likely checking out Tyler and Lopez’s debut out of curiosity.
