Students at St. Helens High School in Oregon were evacuated Friday morning after a “homemade explosive device” was discovered by a staff member. Chief of Police Terry Moss said the device was determined to be potentially legitimate, and they called in the Oregon State Police bomb squad. Students and faculty have been transported to a nearby elementary school while police investigate. One student was placed in custody.
