Poet Amanda Gorman, who electrified President Biden’s inauguration with her reading, says she was followed home by a security guard who said she looked “suspicious.” In a tweet on Friday night, the 22-year-old Harvard grad, who lives in Los Angeles, said the guard demanded to know if she lived in her building. “I showed my keys & buzzed myself into my building,” she wrote. “He left, no apology. This is the reality of black girls: One day you’re called an icon, the next day, a threat.”
