India is set to ease some lockdown restrictions as the country records the lowest number of new COVID-19 infections in more than two months. On Sunday, the populous nation logged 114,460 new infections and 2,677 new deaths. Overall, the country has reported 28.8 million cases and 346,759, second only to the United States. India was hit with critical supply shortages early on in the second wave and is still struggling with its vaccine rollout.
