Police in New Delhi have launched an investigation after finding 11 bodies in a family’s home, including 10 that were blindfolded and hanging. Police officer Vineet Kumar said the victims—four men, three women, and four girls—all belonged to the same family in Burari village. The body of a 70-year-old woman was the only one not hanging at the scene; she was found lying on the floor of the house, according to a source cited by the Associated Press. Police responded to the home after receiving a call claiming “members of a family have committed suicide,” though no suicide notes have been found and investigators have not ruled out homicide. Neighbors interviewed by local media reportedly said the family was in the midst of wedding preparations and there were no signs of conflict or stress among the relatives.
