A member of an Iranian indie rock band, The Yellow Dogs, who was recently kicked out of the group, killed two of the bandmembers, wounded another, and then shot himself in East Williamsburg on Monday. The band formed in Tehran in 2006 and continued performing at well known venues in Brooklyn. Survivors include a 22-year-old man who was shot in the arm and two others who hid inside a first floor bathroom during the shooting. The alleged gunman was found dead on the roof. The New York Postreports that the gunman was former bandmember Raefe Ahkbar.
