This is what happens when you don't have enough women in the sciences. The Inspiration Mars Foundation is proposing a plan to send a manned mission to fly past Mars in the year 2018. Which is great, except that it seems someone neglected to tell the foundation that the model for their spaceship looks like a giant vibrator. The Hitachi Magic Wand, to be exact. The trip would take roughly two years, and the plan is reportedly to choose a middle-aged couple to man it, since they would be used to sharing confined space for long periods of time. Well, at least now we have an idea about how they can stay entertained.
