Heads up to the White House: 80 percent is just a B in school, and it’s not exactly what anyone should aspire to. Up to one in five people won’t be able to sign up for insurance on Healthcare.gov—and the White House will be satisfied with an 80 percent success rate, official sources told The Washington Post on Sunday. That 80 percent target is what hundreds of government employees and contractors are working toward by November 30—and that’s the number that former presidential management official Jeffrey Zients considered when he said the website will “work smoothly for the vast majority of users” by that date. But that means that tens of thousands of users will be unsuccessful in signing up for insurance by then.
