A Colorado man accused of beating the mother of his infant child to death with a baseball bat tried to persuade his girlfriend to kill her three times before he carried it out himself, investigators have claimed. CNN reports that Patrick Frazee is facing a murder trial following the death of his fiancée, Kelsey Berreth. Krystal Lee Kenney, who claims she was in a romantic relationship with Frazee last year, alleges that Frazee asked her to kill Berreth on three different occasions—one plot involved poisoning the fiancée’s caramel macchiato. After two more failed attempts, Frazee allegedly lost patience and killed Berreth with a baseball bat at her home on Thanksgiving Day last year. Investigators say he wrapped a sweater around her head before bashing her with the bat and then burned her body in a water trough. Kenney alleges Frazee told her on the day: “You don’t know how hard it is to have Thanksgiving dinner after killing her.” Berreth’s body has never been found.
