iPhone 4S Breaks Sales Record

Critics may have been disappointed with the iPhone 4S, but it is already the bestselling iPhone of all time: Apple processed more than 1 million orders for it in the first 24 hours that it was on sale. That surpasses the 600,000 orders for the iPhone 4 in its first 24 hours on sale in 2010. Critics initially reacted negatively to the new smartphone, which appears identical on the exterior to the iPhone 4. In fact, Apple’s stock tumbled 5 percent when the phone debuted; however, it surged 3.8 percent after the company announced the record sales.
