Even as pundits fret about the future of Apple after the death of its visionary founder, the 4S—the first iPhone not launched by Steve Jobs—is selling like hot cakes. Preorders at the online store have been sold out for Oct. 14, the first day consumers can get their hands on them. Now fans will have to wait one to two weeks before getting the phone. Or they can wait in line, but there are already three people queuing up at Apple's Fifth Avenue store in New York City—two of them have been there for 12 days.
