So that’s what it’s like to be popular. The initial batch of iPhone 5s has already sold out, according to an analyst at Sterne Agee. Just an hour after Apple’s website started taking preorders at midnight, the online store was indicating some versions of the new model wouldn’t be shipped for two weeks. “Preorders for iPhone 5 have been incredible,” an Apple spokeswoman said. “We’ve been completely blown away by customer response.” Bloomberg estimates 58 million units could be sold by the end of the year. Take that, Samsung.
