Iran Bans U.N. Nuke Inspectors

Heating Up

Claims they leaked info.

Iran has banned two U.N. nuclear inspectors who it alleges leaked "false" information about the country's nuclear program. In May, the inspectors had visited a nuclear site and noted that previously reported equipment had been removed; Iran denied that such equipment existed in the first place. "Those two now have no right to enter Iran anymore," said Ali Akbar Salehi, head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization. "What they reported was untrue and they revealed it before it was officially reviewed." Earlier this month, the U.N. Security Council placed another set of sanctions on Iran over its nuclear program.
