To celebrate the Persian New Year on Friday, Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei decided it was an opportune time to again deny the existence of the Holocaust. Speaking in Mashhad, he declared that "the Holocaust is an event whose reality is uncertain and, if it happened, it's uncertain how it happened." He also spoke about the issues between Palestinians and Israelis, arguing that the U.S. "failed in Palestine. Their plan for Palestine, in which they invested a great effort, did not work and, God willing, will not work either." He also accused Israel of wanting "to terminate Palestine."
