Iran Readies Big War Games

With concern rising in the international community over Iran’s nuclear program, the Islamic Republic will initiate five days of high-profile war games starting Tuesday, intended to showcase the regime’s air defenses. Questions linger about whether Tehran will continue with negotiations, and, though the United States and Israel have both expressed a preference for diplomacy, neither has ruled out a military strike. A security crackdown has accompanied the military escalation, with five Iranian human-rights lawyers detained over the weekend.
