Iran’s ‘Frozen’ Nuke Stockpile Grew 20%

Iran increased its nuclear fuel stockpile by about 20 percent over the last 18 months, international inspectors say. The disclosure by the International Atomic Energy Agency will complicate the final leg of negotiations for a nuclear deal—and raise questions about the Obama administration’s claim that the program had been frozen. The agency said Iran had paused operations that would bring it closer to developing a nuclear weapon. A tenet of the nuclear deal is that Iran can only have less than 660 pounds of nuclear fuel—the amount required for a bomb.
