New York City concert venues Irving Plaza and Gramercy Theatre have canceled or postponed six upcoming performances after four people were injured in a fatal shooting during rapper T.I.’s Irving Plaza concert last week. The affected concerts include four hip-hop shows: Vince Staples, Joey Bada$$, and Mac Miller’s shows at Irving Plaza and YG’s gig at Gramercy. Two other non-rap artists’s shows were also nixed. The promoter that owns the two venues made the decision in conjunction with the NYPD. “In light of last week’s tragic event, we are acting with an overabundance of caution and coordinating a going-forward strategy with the New York Police Department that may also include a curfew,” a venue spokesperson said.
