He may be the king of hip-hop, the “Louis Vuitton don,” and a fashion icon, but now he’s also an author. Rapper Kanye West will release Thank You and You’re Welcome, a slim collection of West wisdom and Kanye-isms. “It’s a collection of thoughts and theories,” West told Reuters. He’s a self-proclaimed “proud non-reader,” who has attracted a wide following on his blog. “I am not a fan of books,” West said. “I would never want a book’s autograph.” The book, which is dedicated to his late mother, offers insights ranging from the funny to the thought-provoking. “My favorite one is ‘Get used to being used,” West said. “I feel like to misuse, overuse, or abuse someone is negative. To use is necessary and if you cant’ be used, then you are useless.”
