Is Lady Gaga the New Face of Versace?: Word on the street is that frequent fashion offender Lady Gaga could be the face of Versace’s spring/summer ad campaign. Rumors hold that the photography duo Mert & Marcus recently photographed the star while she was in London. Gaga and Donatella Versace have always been close; Gaga penned an entire song about the designer for her current ARTPOP album. [Vogue UK]
See the Sneak Peek of Kate Moss’ Playboy Debut: The 40-year-old mother will be featured on the cover of Playboy's 60th anniversary January/February issue. While the supermodel’s Playboy pictorial will be nude, Playboy has offered fans an uncharacteristically demure sneak peek. In the picture, Moss is dressed as a Playboy bunny in satin bunny ears, a black corset, and French cuffs. The fashionable shoot was styled by W’s Alex White and promises to be both sartorially sophisticated and sexy. [Daily Mail]
Dolce and Gabbana Appeal Tax Evasion Charges: Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s lawyer filed a 90-page appeal of his clients' tax evasion convictions this week in Milan, requesting a full acquittal. The original charges against Dolce and Gabbana claim that the design duo set up a Luxembourg-based holding company in order to avoid paying taxes in Italy. However, the pair has consistently and strongly denied any and all tax evasion charges. A date for the appeal court has not yet been set. [Vogue UK]
Alexander McQueen Unveils Damien Hirst Collaboration: In honor of the ten year anniversary of McQueen’s iconic skull-print scarf, the label is collaborating with artist Damien Hirst, who’s work has often featured skull imagery in the past. Hirst has created 30 limited edition scarf designs for the collaboration, featuring patterns pulled from the artist’s ‘Entomology’ series, and reworked to resemble the signature McQueen skull motif. Gap Features Turbaned Sikh in Holiday Ad Campaign: Gap’s 2013 Holiday ad campaign features Waris Ahluwalia, a Sikh American actor/designer/model. Waris, who was born in Punjab, sports a turban in the arresting ads. Waris is joined in the campaign by other familiar faces such as Malin Ackerman and Harry Belafonte. [The Aerogram]
