As if the fashion world needed another reason to exile Lindsay Lohan. The Awl reports that Ungaro, the Paris-based label that hired Lohan as its artistic designer last year, may be closing its Madison Avenue storefront. After an Ungaro staffer left a voicemail for one customer, saying the store will be closing its doors on February 27, reporter Choire Sicha called the store to follow up. He was told by another employee that the store was “fine” and they were merely liquidating the fall/winter inventory. After Lindsay Lohan’s disastrous Ungaro debut last year, is the European fashion house merely trying to cover its tracks?
