On the technology blog This Is My Next Tablet, Joshua Topolsky says Apple’s next iPhone will have "a completely redesigned handset" and that sources say the new model looks "more like the iPod touch than the iPhone4." The phone will allegedly be thinner and sleeker than the iPhone 4, and may have a "teardrop" shape, somewhat like the MacBook Air. Another source says the iPhone5's home button will be bigger than it is on the iPhone4, and that the phone will have almost no bezel, with the screen occupying almost the entire surface area of the front of the phone. Verizon's CFO Fran Shammo referenced Apple's next phone while answering an analyst's questions about changes within the company: "The fluctuations, I believe, will come when a new device from Apple is launched, whenever that may be, and that we [Verizon] will be ... on equal footing with our competitors on a new phone hitting the market, which will also be a global device."
