Just in time for its approach to the Big Island, the National Weather Service downgraded Iselle to a tropical storm. The storm has already caused damage, however, by knocking down trees and cutting power to 5,000. A second hurricane, Julio, a Category 3, is about 1,000 miles behind it in the Pacific, and also headed for Hawaii.
