ISIS Claims Responsibility for London Attack

The Amaq news agency, the preferred newswire of ISIS and a frequent medium for publishing claims of responsibility for international incidents by the jihadi organization, has announced that the terror group was behind the late-night attack in London on Saturday that claimed seven lives and injured nearly 50 more. The claim, citing a “security source,” declares that ”a detachment of Islamic State fighters carried out attacks #London yesterday.” Although ISIS has occasionally made claims to attacks that were later proven unconnected to the terrorist group, most Amaq newswire claims of responsibility were later at least partially corroborated by subsequent investigations.
