According to Syrian state television, militants from ISIS have killed at least 400 people in the ancient Syrian city of Palmyra. Most of the victims, the report claimed, are women and children. The report said it was quoting residents from inside the city, and other opposition activists have reported on Twitter that hundreds of bodies of those loyal to the government are in the streets. Palmyra is known for its well-preserved Roman-era ruins.
