A suicide bomber fighting for ISIS detonated a truck filled with explosives two kilometers north of Kobani, Syria, on Monday. The number of casualties has not yet been disclosed. The attack follows ISIS fighters’ triple suicide bombing on Sunday in Iraq, which claimed more than 50 lives. Over the weekend, ISIS forces increased their attacks on the Kurdish town, which is located near the Syria-Turkey border. Kurdish forces were able to halt ISIS from claiming Kobani, but militants reportedly control almost half of the town. A UN envoy warned thousands could be massacred if ISIS takes over.
