As if people in the region weren't nervous enough. The Israeli Defense Ministry has confirmed it conducted a “successful test” in a joint missile exercise with the U.S. into the Mediterranean Sea. Russia’s state-owned news agency first reported the detection of two “ballistic objects” being fired into the eastern Mediterranean. Nothing was launched from U.S. Navy ships, and it’s unclear what role the U.S. had. The tests come at a time of heightened tension in the region and as Washington weighs a possible strike on Syria.
