Israel's landmark prisoner swap with Palestine is almost complete. Israel has begun transferring Palestinian prisoners in preparation for an exchange for kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit. The names of 500 of the 1,027 prisoners have been released; some of them were serving life sentences for deadly attacks. Israelis who oppose the deal with Hamas now have 48 hours to appeal the decision. The swap is scheduled to take place on Tuesday. Shalit has been held in the Gaza Strip since he was abducted more than five years ago.
